2003 Learning year to 4WD: New
year, chapter, car and class. Year 2003 Mika drive Mitsubishi Lancer
Evo IV (group N). Year was bit a disappointing but it was also big learning year. Best result was in internetional Saaremaa rally were Mika get N-group seventh place. Different kind of failures caused retirements and we fighting hole year with budget. The team didn't have the same resources as the top Finnish group N team's. In a year 2004 we take part Finnish local area championchip events. That consist both rally and rallysprint events. It was a first year when we use tyre warmers in tarmac events. Mitsubishi was tuned N-group (267 bhp) and SS/Super Special class. In SS car was underpowered, some SS class cars has over 600 horsepower. But we learn a lot...2005 Group A/SS, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo: New car, more power (~ 420 bhp / 630 Nm). Season 2005 start's with rallysprint overall win. In winter season events Mika was always first or second. Not bad at all! During year the dog box gearbox broke many times. Bad luck or too much power?? In the rally events a co-driver was 29 year old mr. Pasi Huttunen.
Rally results; two times second, one win and one retiment (bad tyre failure). East-Finland rallisprint Champion 2005. Season 2006 with same car but of course more power ( 480 bhp / 600 Nm). East-Finland rallisprint Champion 2006.
